This year IEEE DSAA partnered with crowdAI (https://www.crowdai.org) and Humanity & Inclusion (http://www.hi-us.org/inclusion) for a Data Science contest aimed at building missing maps with Machine Learning. The results of the contest will be presented in a dedicated special session at the IEEE DSAA 2018 conference and the top-5 teams will have a paper describing their solutions in the conference proceedings. The European Association for Data Science (https://euads.org/) will provide a travel award for the winners of the data science contest.
